The Daily Beast’s Obsessed

The Daily Beast’s Obsessed began as a newsletter focusing on everything we can’t stop loving, hating, and contemplating about during this week in the ever-evolving realm of pop culture. Over time, it then expanded into an additional dedicated entertainment site within our main platform. As part of this growth, I art directed, designed, and developed a cohesive graphics template specifically for our entertainment coverage, which encompasses product features, social media content, and various web design collateral.

I cross-functionally collaborated with the Product and Editorial teams to design a distinctive template and style for Obsessed, the new entertainment site developed for The Daily Beast. My role was integral in ensuring the successful and timely launch of the site, as I contributed significantly to the overall strategic vision while also enhancing and improving user experience.

The color palette illustrates how these selected colors work well together, and they can be effectively utilized in various contexts such as product design, website development, engaging social media, and impactful marketing campaigns.

Building off this aesthetic, I crafted a comprehensive style guide for our illustrations that significantly elevated the quality of our press images and embellished our long-form press materials. This approach not only enhanced visual consistency but also ensured that our brand identity was more clearly represented across all channels.
